Tips for Searching by Owner Name (includes etals):

  • Search by last name
    You can search by last name by entering at least the first three characters of the last name.
    Searching on smith will retrieve all owners with the last name smith.
  • Search by last name, first name
    Type the last name and at least the first character of the first name, do not include punctuation marks.
    Searching on smith j will retrieve all smiths with first names beginning in the letter j.
    Searching on smith james will retrieve all the parcels with owners named james smith.

Tips for searching by Address:

  • Step 1: Select a Community Code.
    Select a community from the drop down box and wait for the box to be refreshed.

  • Step 2: Select an Address
    Once a community has been selected, the matching street addresses will be displayed.
    Select a street address from the drop down box and wait for the box to be refreshed.

  • Step 3: Select a street number
    Once the street has been selected, the street numbers will be displayed.
    Select the street number from the drop down box and wait for the box to be refreshed.
    Your results should display in the righthand pane.

The information display includes:
  • The roll year. (Information currently available to the public online is based on the tax roll year shown.)
  • Address. The street address or location of the parcel.
  • Parcel Number. The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) currently assigned to the parcel.
  • Land Use. Describes how the property is currently being used.
  • Description. A physical description of where the parcel is located.
  • Land. Includes land taxes.
  • Structure. Includes any taxed structures.
  • Fixed Improvements. Includes any taxed fixed improvements. Fixed improvements include buildings, structures, fixtures, pools, fences, etc., erected upon or affixed to land. Improvements may include trees and vines.
  • Personal Property. Includes any taxed personal property. Personal Property includes all property subject to taxation that is not land or improvements. (i.e. boats, aircraft and business property)
  • Other. Includes other taxed items.
  • Current Net value. Includes land, structure and other taxed items.
  • Additional Searches.  Links to Ownership History, Document History, and Transfer History are not available on the public Internet screens.

Additional Searches:
  • Tax Rate Area (TRA). By clicking on the tax rate area, you can find out what school district, fire protection area, hospital, and supervisorial district the parcel is in. These fields are for informational use only -- last updated 2005.
    Call the Tax Collector or Assessor's office for the latest TRA values.

  • Supplemental Index. Includes an index of all supplemental taxes paid and unpaid for the selected parcel.

Clicking on Taxroll in the Tab options will retrieve the current taxroll screen for the APN or ASMT you entered

Taxroll Values Include:

  • The roll year. (Information currently available to the public online is based on the tax roll year shown.)
  • Address. The street address or location of the parcel.
  • Parcel Number. The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) currently assigned to the parcel.
  • Tax Payments. Includes installment 1 and installment 2 (if any). The date beside each installment is the date due.
  • Penalty if Late. If a date is present, then the penalty amount is included in the tax amount due/paid.
  • Costs. If a date is present, then the costs amount is included in the tax amount due/paid.
  • Payments. Includes the total payment made for each installment and the date the payment was made.

Some additional information is available to staff by permission.

Additional Searches:  Some additional information is available to staff and by special permission.
  • Tax Codes. By clicking on the tax codes, you can find out what fee districts are included in your tax bill.
  • Default/Five Pay Summary. Includes a summary for any secured defaults/five pays that are attached to the parcel.
  • Critical Notes.  Not available to the public via the Internet.

Clicking on the Summary tab will take you to a detailed listing of all secured and unsecured assessments for the ASMT or APN.  When searching by ASMT number, summaries will be specific to that number.  When searching by APN, summaries will include all ASMTs tied to that APN (fee parcel number).

Summary Searches Include:

  • Tax Year. Clicking on the tax year will take you to the full detail record for that specific asmt/taxyear.
  • Asmt Number. The asmt is the unique number assigned to this specific charge. 
  • Roll Category. The roll category describes the type of asmt and it's status as a delinquent or current charge.  The Fee Parcel (APN) or ASMT number is included for your reference.
  • Totals.  The total tax, total penalty, and total costs should not be used to try to calculate current taxes due or previous taxes due.  They are for reference use only.  Additional delinquent penalties are not displayed in this view.

Assessor Parcel Maps and Online Interactive maps:
  • Online interactive maps and Assessor parcel maps are available for your reference.  They are not intended to serve as legal documents.  Maps are blocked when searching by ASMT.  To locate the map belonging to the ASMT, copy the related fee parcel number (APN) and submit it as an APN search.
